Geographic Managed Care Program

The Geographic Managed Care Program is a state-sponsored dental program offered in Sacramento County. In place since 1994, this pilot program provides dental care services to approximately 152,000 Medi-Cal eligibles monthly.

Each member covered under the Geographic Managed Care Program is assigned to a Primary Care Dentist (PCD) for receiving general dental services. The member pays no co-payments for covered dental services provided by the PCD. Under this program administered by Access Dental Plan, the members also have access to a complete array of specialists, such as orthodontists, periodontists, etc.
